It is not often we see the words spirituality and business being matched together in a harmonious way, walking hand in hand in the name of abundance and prosperity. In fact as you're probably aware, spirituality has more often than not been associated with renunciation and non material matters, whereas business would be linked to cut throat profit making that lacks integrity and true value. Thankfully, we have moved on a fair bit from the times where either spirituality or business has needed to fit into those old school boxes and stereotypes. A lot has changed over the last decade and more so over the last few years, and as the vibration of the planet continues to rise, more of us are coming to realise that.. There are more Facets to the Spiritual Life than Renunciation, Transcendence, and Letting go. And though that might still be the preferred choice for some, others instead choose to embrace a wider, more universal spiritual perspective with the intent to ENHANCE and bring PROSPERITY in various aspects of our life. Unlike some views out there, there is absolutely NO contradiction on being spiritual and living a successful & fulfilled life where we get to share our gifts and value with the world through our work. In fact this is what we're here to do, for those at least that wish to find their true passion and live it out. Spirituality in my view is about connecting the deepest value and essence of ALL things without exception or exclusion. I think even more so when it comes to entrepreneurship, spiritual values are essential. The spiritual aspect is an expression from the perspective of source energy and it includes all things material rather than just our human values. It sees no bounds in what God embraces and celebrates, as a fully expressed and abundant life is only but an expression of source energy and another expression of our life on planet earth. This blog post is celebrating this very expression and im just about to share with you how in my opinion the following 5 key spiritual teachings can help us experience prosperity and fulfillment in business in an organic, heart centered way. It's particularly useful for those running their own businesses. Here they are...
If we're going to move down the path of entrepreneurship, in order to really experience the truth of our own genius and authenticity in who we are and what we have to offer to the world through our life's work, we must be willing to take that step into the unknown, to lose ourselves in our own labyrinth before we find ourselves again on the other side. When we emerge from the deep journey, naturally and in our own timely manner, only then will we be able to REALLY stand grounded both in who we are and what we have to offer to the world. Being willing to take that journey means we are not rushing the process of finding and expressing our own voice through our work, but instead we surrender ourselves to the unknown to birth, create and form ourselves organically. Just as the lotus flower slowly unfolds, similarly we also gradually reveal more and more of our true self. The freedom in that... is immense and the value we end up developing to then offer to the world, is simply unparalleled. Though this journey of descent into our labyrinth, doesn't happen only once and it's bound to repeat in various phases throughout our lives, it's important to recognise the need for it, each time it occurs.
Either if it is services or products that we offer through our work, we have to be authentic in what we choose to put out there. Firstly, it has to be something we love and feel passionate about and we must believe in the value it offers. There is no reason promoting something we don't believe in, as money alone will never be a good reason to pursue anything for, plus people will sense we're not aligned with it and not invest in our offer. Secondly, it's best rather than follow anyone else's style and approach, to do you instead. Rather than following anyone else's blueprint, we can create our very own. The more our services and products as well as the way we choose to put them out there, are a direct reflection our personality and ethos, the more aligned we are. Also the true essence and flavour of our work is differentiated seen and understood by people who want to invest on what we offer. Knowing Thyself is a very relevant piece of wisdom here, as it's our actual starting point before creating or puting our work out for people to engage with. We should't be afraid to put our stamp in what we do, as the more personal it is, the more differentiated from other people's work it will be. Essentially people like to engage with us and our products in a personable way, as that enhances their own personality and allows them to have a more grounded experience.
Whatever our background and expertise, the more passionate we are about something, the more we naturally want to learn about it and understand it inside out. Anyone on any spiritual path knows that by mastering our own mind the more able we are to dwelve into the deeper truths of the cosmos as we're only a microcosm of the universe. The similar principle applies to the field of our work. The more we master our field the more able we are in establishing ourselves within that field. It's also when people are more likely to approach us and invest in our know-how and knowledge.
Even though our work is our livelihood, it's useful to have an attitude of open heart when it is to sharing our knowledge. In fact it's important that we give away a lot of our knowledge for free and for people to learn from and enjoy. The attitude of giving away for free, is one of the best ways to communicate our message and benefit the community, BUT it has to come from the heart and not be done begrudgingly. It's also interesting as the law of attraction clearly also advocates The More Openly we Give, the More we Also Receive. Offering things for free is actually a great way to introduce people to what we do and how we do it as a taster of ourselves, and it can potentially also bring clients to us. BUT the intention has to be pure and for it be aligned to wanting to SHARE our all, to have people enjoy what we offer, without any expectation for it to turn into anything more. For instance writing this blog is one of the highlights of my week and i totally love writing this stuff. Even if i didnt have products and services to promote, this blog would have still been out there no matter what. You must simply enjoy whatever your contribution is and do it with real interest and enthusiasm. You grow potatoes? Why not write a blog on your favourite potato type, best soil and conditions for growing them, what you enjoy cooking with them, where your interest on potato growing came from and so on.. Create a shrine on potato making and let it grow from there.
We know that in order to grow, we need to be prepared to do some good work on ourselves, if we wish to see change in ourselves and transform aspects of our being that we want to. The same applies to our vocational work. There is a difference between having a hobby and running a business and one of these differences is that when it comes to turning our passion into work, we have to be willing to put consistent, focused effort and discipline in order to grow, expand and offer a functional service. This is not anything new to any of us, but the reality is that many people give up way too early without being willing to give it a really good go. i think this is really tragic, having that lack of consistent effort towards something we love. And it works that the right attitude and focus WILL bring results eventually if we're willing to persist. Besides, if it was easy, everyone would be doing it. It's a real shame to give up on our dreams and desires that easily. This is what we're here to experience after all.
